Felting – the woolen art.
Wool has ability to interweave chaotically, making almost uniform mass. This ability became a basis for developing of the freestanding art – felting.
There are two techniques of felting: wet and dry. Dry felting is method which is used while making toys, soft dolls, unusual bijouterie or volumetric handworks. Wet felting is a special technique when wool is interweaved with the help of soap solution, than it turns into uniform soft mass of which a "fabric" is to be made. Using wet method, you can make bags, hats, slippers, scarves, shawls, overcoats, accessories, and even pictures and panel pictures.
